Founded in Derbyshire in 1969, Slimming World is a network of warm and friendly groups run by highly trained Consultants who care enormously about the success and wellbeing of every member.  Our established, evidence-based healthy eating plan and empowering support system have been created to make slimming easy and enjoyable through warmth, empathy and respect for every member.

Slimming World’s philosophy is based on a deep understanding of how people with a weight problem feel – and a passionate desire to help them achieve their goals. In 2004, our online programme, bodyOptimise, launched – making Slimming World’s unique and empowering weight loss support available to slimmers who can’t get to a group; men and women all over the world.

Our vision – through our groups and online programme - is to make a real difference to as many people’s lives as we can …and we do!
