Joe’s enjoying ‘mega-bytes’ with bodyOptimise!

Joe Lewis from Staffordshire lost a fantastic 2st 11½lbs with bodyOptimise. Filling up on his favourites and logging on regularly was the key to Joe’s success – he shares his story here!

“My weight problems began in my early twenties, when I was leading a very busy and stressful lifestyle. I was in the process of setting up a computer games company and my heavy workload meant I grabbed a takeaway most nights.

“Over the years I noticed my health began to suffer – I felt lethargic all the time, I’d be sweating after only short walks and it felt like I had a continuous flu. The final straw was a visit to my GP – at only 35 my cholesterol and blood pressure were high and I realised I had to change.

“I’d heard about bodyOptimise but wasn’t sure that it would help me – I was dreading having to eat tiny portions and ditch all my favourite foods. I soon discovered Food Optimising isn’t like that - I never thought my favourite meal of egg, chips and baked beans could be good for me!  I loved trying all the recipes - the chilli chicken soon became a firm favourite.  

Logging into bodyOptimise regularly definitely helped my weight loss. I really liked charting my progress; it was so motivating to see my weight go down.

"I also found the alcohol article dead useful - I like to use my Syns in the pub!

“As I lost weight I began to enjoy exercise – I started going for walks along the canal path near my house and now I run along it too. The best thing that’s happened since I lost weight was being able to ride a bike along the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco! There’s no way I could have done that a few months ago. I was the fittest and fastest in the group of guys I was with!

“I feel fantastic these days – my doctor says I’m in great health and I now fit into ‘medium’ sized clothes instead of extra large. My ambition is to maintain my weight – I know I will with Food Optimising – who would have believed it’s possible to lose weight and stay sociable!”

      Fried chicken and chips
    • Dinner:
      Chinese takeaway - spring rolls, crispy duck and fried rice
    • 11pm:
      Fried sausage on a white bread sandwich

    • Breakfast:
      Porridge topped with honey and fruit
    • Lunch:
      loads of crunchy salad vegetables and huge chunks of chicken and grilled bacon
    • Dinner:
      Crunchy salmon fishcakes with potato wedges, followed by a glass or two of beer
    • Snacks:
      Tons of fruit - grapes, apples, bananas, berries - anything goes!
